“What do you want from me?" he asks.
What I want from every person in my life, I want to tell him.
More.”

30 Day Jellicoe Challenge
‘Do what to me? I don’t think that leaving me on that platform would have changed my life, Griggs,’ I lie.
‘You being on that platform changed mine.’
This isn’t romance. This isn’t a declaration of love or affirmation of friendship. This is something more.
‘I wasn’t there that day to get on the three forty-seven to Yass,’ he says. ‘I was there to throw myself in front of it.’”

Belated 30 Day Jellicoe update!
I sincerely apologise for this delayed post - I know it's supposed to be every day. But unfortunately I have been studying like a crazy person and doing exams and been extremely busy being sick! So, with that said and my apology out of the way, here are two quotes to make up for my absence.
“I didn't know you had a girlfriend, Griggs." Anson Choi feigns surprise. "What's her name?"
"I didn't actually catch her name," Griggs continues.
"Lily," Raffaela says over her shoulder and this time I give her a sideways look.
"Great to know that I'm in love with a girl with a cool name."
"It's Taylor's middle name," Raffaela calls back again.”

“I want to tell him that deep down each time Hannah looked at him she was grateful it was him because Jude did something that the others didn't. He came back for her.”
- On The Jellicoe Road, Melina Marchetta
These two quotes are funny and moving respectively. These are the moments I look forward to reading because Taylor is so intense and sometimes you need Raffaela to try and get through to her. But Taylor's determination to locate the absent Hannah always keeps me reading and, no matter how many times I've read it, I always struggle to pull myself away from the world of Taylor Markham and back into my own.

30 Day Jellicoe Challenge - Day 3
“This is the best night of my life," Raffy says, crying.
"Raffy, half our House has burnt down," I say wearily. "We don't have a kitchen."
"Why do you always have to be so pessimistic?" she asks. "We can double up in our rooms and have a barbecue every night like the Cadets."
Silently I vow to keep Raffy around for the rest of my life.”
